Offset is adamant that his wife, Cardi B, is the best thing that happened to hip hop since slice bread. Music fans do not agree and were more than pleased to let him know.
It seems that rapper Offset never heard of MC Lyte, Lil Kim, Missy Elliott, Salt-N-Pepa, and Nicki Minaj because he believes that his wife is the first female rapper to ever make it big in the music business and the Internet was not having it.
Offset defends Cardi B’s place in hip hop after an old video of her talking about raping men goes viral
While Cardi B is a chart-topping artist with hits in two languages, she is also controversial and therefore gets a lot of hate from trolls.
Most recently the famous femcee from New York landed in some serious trouble after an old video surfaced where she confessed to drugging, raping, and robbing men she used to date.
In an attempt to defend his wife’s good name and her status in the music game, the Migos MC boldly claimed on Twitter that Cardi B paved the way for other female rappers.
He told the critics: “All you hoes rap cuz of my wife. Gave y’ all hoes hope not to suck dick the rest of ya life and catch money.”
The comment immediately created drama with one person pointing to the obvious: “I’m pretty sure female rappers existed before her…”
Offset was forced to walk back his initial inaccurate comment: “Well you go back and look after ‘[Bodak] Yellow’ the world followed suit. Talking about you hoes that start rapping this year and last tweeter all of you can’t make me mad I’m rich as a MF.”
The Father of 4 MC tried to back his statement by listing Cardi B’s accomplishments.
He stated: “The same ones hate are motivated by the wife she did the unbelievable.”

Offset was not done or finished — so he shared a longer tweet that read: “Not talking about prior female artist talking about the female artist that comes from my wife background. Every bartender stripper with the dream of getting out the club its nun wrong with that but my wife help guide ur life to try to rap all u dumb ass ppl at home on couch tweeting suck my balls not talking about established artist like the legends and the ones before Cardi.”
Upon realizing that fighting with thousands of people on social media would never end, he concluded with this post about his wealth: “We rich over here so you hate don’t get you paid I stand on what I said. Lets make a bet my girl against any artist man or woman.”
Cardi has been a bit more low key in recent weeks.
